Ron Sunshine and his organ quartet played a sizzling couple of sets on the Yonkers Waterfront back on August 7th with Kyle Koehler on organ, Matt Chertkoff on drums, Mark Lopeman on tenor sax, and Rudy Petschauer on drums. So I guess it’s official now. A new HBO series called VINYL is coming in 2016, executive produced by Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terence Winter, and starring the great Bobby Cannavale. I played harmonica on the soundtrack, and did a little consulting work on the set. Can’t wait to see it. Looks pretty freaking cool. Here’s the first tease.
